This practical course covers everything you need to know about payroll accounting with a special focus on UAE labor law and Wage Protection System (WPS) compliance. Payroll is one of the most critical and sensitive accounting functions in any organization, and getting it right is essential.

You will start with the fundamentals of payroll management including salary structure design, allowances, deductions, and compensation packages. The course covers UAE labor law provisions related to working hours, overtime calculations, annual leave entitlements, sick leave, maternity leave, and public holidays.

End-of-service gratuity calculation is covered in detail, including the legal requirements under UAE labor law, different calculation methods for limited and unlimited contracts, and the accounting treatment under IAS 19 Employee Benefits.
